Carl David White, Sr. age 67, of Chilhowie, VA passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his home. He was born May 15, 1954 in Richlands, VA and was the son of the late Beve Wallace and Vernal White. He was a United States Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd White, Burton White, and Andrew White; five sisters, Ruth White, Lula Ellis, Dollie (Bonnie) Blankenship, Mildred Rodgers, and Betty Sommers.
Carl is survived by his partner, Jackson Trent; two sons, Carl David White, Jr. of Damascus, VA and Timothy Ray White (Gency) of Gate City, VA; three brothers, Wallace White of Lake City, FL, Erwin White (Susan) of Dunnellon, FL, and Thomas White (Ronald Lee) of Vale, NC; four grandchildren, Keith Shortridge, Misty White, Brandon White, and Sylas White; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday, August 26th at Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, VA.
A Graveside Service will be conducted Friday, August 27th at 10 a.m. at the White Cemetery on White Mountain, VA with Rev. Maybery officiating. Casey-Short VFW Post 9640 will conduct Military Graveside Rites. Pallbearers will be Jackson Trent, Billy Williams, Jeff Jones, and Christian White. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe and Judith Jones, Steve and Carol Testerman, Jerry Reah, Billy and Tresa White, Kenneth and Alma Lambert.
