Mrs. Jennie Cook
Dies at Age 78;
Rites Set Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Cook, 78, of 7050 Casa Loma, a Dallas resident since 1913, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Gaston Avenue Baptist Church. / Dr. Harold Basden and Dr. W. Marshall Craig will officiate, with burial in Restland Memorial Park. Mrs. Cook died Friday in a Dallas hospital after a short illness. / A native of Fort Griffin, Shackelford County, Mrs. Cook came to Dallas from Amarillo where she had lived two years. Her husband, W. B. Cook, Sr. died in 1942. / She was a member of the Gaston Avenue Baptist Church. / Survivors are four sons, Adley, James, Marshal and W. B. Cook, Jr., all of Dallas; four daughters, Mrs. Ola Potter and Mrs. Anita Helm, both of Dallas, Mrs. Mittie Jackson of Meridian, Miss., and Mrs. Sarah Ella Walker of East Africa; two brothers, C. T. Stone of Dallas and Cecil Sides of Greeley, Colo., three sisters, Mrs. E. H. Sims of Roswell, N.M., Mrs. W. C. Grant of Portales, N.M., Mrs. Fred McGrath, Orange, Calif., and seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
