Rex Eugene Talbert, 81, Swayzee, died at 12:27 a.m., on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in Hospice Home, in Fort Wayne. He was born in Greentown to the late Russell and Nellie (Landrum) Talbert. On September 10, 1954, he married Marilyn Hannah; she survives.

Rex worked as an area supervisor for Moorehead Electric, for over 40 years and retired from I.B.E.W. Local #873 Kokomo. He loved Harleys and RVs, camping, listening to music, watching NASCAR, the Pacers and I.U., and movies, and reading Westerns. Rex was also a Master Mason with the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marilyn; children, Tony (late Julia) Talbert, Tera (Danny) Talbert-Dickman, Tracy (Theresa) Talbert, and Tina (Matt) Baldwin; brothers, Max (Phillis) Talbert, Bob Talbert and Kenneth (Annie) Talbert; sisters, Natalie "Boots" Smith and Nancy (Ernest "Ernie") Ferency; granddaughter, Ciera (Duane) Wegner, and puppy, Maggie.

In addition to his parents, Russell and Nellie Talbert, Rex was preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Merrill (Tab) Talbert; daughter, Tammy (Dan) Closser, and daughter-in-law, Julia Talbert.

As per request of the family, there will be no services.
