Mr. Bobby L. Accord, 72, of Blackshear, died Thursday at Memorial Satilla Health Systems after an extended illness. He was born in Waycross on April 2, 1949 and has lived in Waycross and Blackshear his entire life. He worked for Gibbs Construction Company and Littlefield Construction Company where he earned the nickname "Wolfman". Mr. Accord loved riding his bicycle and especially enjoyed riding it to attend Hoboken Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grafton and Colleen McClelland, and two sisters, Linda Crews and Bonnie Elrod.
Mr. Accord is survived by his wife, Linda Accord of Blackshear, four children, Grace Pack and her husband Edward of Blackshear, Becky Duncan and her husband Tim of Blackshear, Bobby Accord of Blackshear, Emory Accord of Blackshear, ten grandchildren, Linda Lashley and her husband Christopher, Caitlyn Miller, Terra Morgan and her husband Adam, Rebecca Clark, Dorsey Clark, Gracie Clark, Sydney Accord, Brandi Pack, Jonathan Pack, Joshua Nix, thirteen great grandchildren, including one he raised, Kashlynn Miller, and numerous other relatives.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Waters Cemetery in Blackshear. The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m.
