SomeBuddy was a special dog from the very start. "Buddy" was found in 2009 running down a dirt road in north west Michigan. A Good Samaritan found him and took him to the shelter. They were guessing he was a year or two old at the time (I created his DOB based on that.). I can't believe no one came forward to claim this beautiful boy. My parents had lost their pet the month before and my sister showed them a photo of Buddy. He was a hit. He was loved from that moment forward.

After my parents passed, we welcomed him into our house. He was such a sweet fella but terrified of loud noises. Which might have been why he was running scared down the road when he was found. Buddy was a great addition to our family. He fit right in.

Sadly, Buddy developed issues with hind end weakness and trouble walking. Then quit eating. He was "put to peace" on our kitchen floor while I told him, he's been a blessing to our family. We sent him back to my parents on what would have been their 67th wedding anniversary.
