Melody Jean Colbert, age 62, of Blue Ridge passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. She was born on June 4, 1959 in Copperhill, TN to the late Paul and Juanita Sowers Hopper. Melody was a waitress at the Waffle House for several years and was a member of the New Liberty Church in Clarkesville, GA. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Gary Hopper, Leroy Hopper, and Joan Burch; and her husband, John Colbert.
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 3:00 PM from the New Liberty Church Cemetery in Clarkesville, GA.
