He was born July 15, 1929 in Dade City, FL to Mathias J. & Frances Beer Barthle. He was a Farmer/Rancher and a U.S. Army Veteran. SJ contracted for Wallace Hatchery for numerous years. He worked for the Pasco County School System as a custodian retiring from the bus garage after 10 years.
He was a faithful member of the Trilacoochee Church of Christ and a member of the Florida Cattlemen's Association. A lifetime supporter of youth, which he actively supported the local FFA and 4-H. He was native of the "St. Joseph Community" where he was raised and chose to raise his family.
He is survived by his children: Randy J. Barthle and Barbara L. Barthle; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean A. Barthle; his father and mother: Mathias J. & Frances Beer Barthle; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral Services will be held 11am Monday, August 16, 2021 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home, the family will receive friends for viewing one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with military honors.
