Mrs. Forbes was born in Pasquotank. She retired from Pritchard's Florist and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 44 and the ladies auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6060.
Annie was the widow of Horace T. Forbes whom she married on 7 Dec 1950 in Elizabeth City, NC. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include a son, Mason Turner Forbes of Panama City, Fla.; (her son Horace Darrell Forbes died in 1982). Other survivors are four sisters, Alma Cartwright and Ruth Baker, both of Elizabeth City, Adelaide Stallings of Blackstone, Va., and Maxine Sipes of Fort Worth, Texas; and two grandchildren.
The graveside service was conducted in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
