ADAMS, Clyde

Born in Oak Hill West Virginia January 26, 1925. His family moved to Dayton Ohio when he was in high school. After High School he joined The United States Navy in 1942 and was stationed in New Guinea. After the war he started working at Sears Downtown where he met his wife of 69 yrs., Evelyn Schaffer. He then started working in the carpet business shortly afterwards, retiring from A1 Carpet in 1987.

He loved the outdoors, fishing at Dale Hollow Lake in TN., and his model trains. He was a member of Sears Retailers Club, VFW and St James U.M. Church.

Preceded in death by son David Adams, a sister Ernestine Heidner, mother Pearl Lyons, step father Ralph W. Lyons, Father Harry Adams.

Survivors include his wife Evelyn Adams, Son Gary S. Adams, Daughter Linda K. Weaver (James) Grandkids Brian (Liz) & Chad Weaver, Alyssa, Kristin, Brooke Adams great grandkids Haleigh, Clara, Caleb, Henry Weaver.

He will be missed by all.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm Thursday February 22, 2018 at the Tobias Funeral Home Far Hills Chapel 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Rd. Pastor Stu Rammes officiating. Burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
