Bettye Leigh Walker Yarbrough, my mother and lived in Dardanelle, Yell County Arkansas. She moved to Little Rock Arkansas in 1947 till her passing. She was one of the Presidents of a Stock Company owned by Rondell Loftin and Joe Hill; she became their friend and personal advisor. Mother wrote for the papers. She wrote short stories and loved the theater.

Mother's dream was to be a writer and sing Opera, mainly the Arts.. Singing opera, 50 years ago was a Lark and much friendlier experience than it is today, Mother wanted to marry Sam and My grandfather, Jack Walker saw it another way. He wanted like most parents for her life to be better than his. He spoiled her and gave her too much. She finished school and went on to College, and she was going to marry into the Military life.

My father told me the day he saw her, he made-up his mind, that day and hour to marry her.. Visions of apple-pie America was mother and my father took his love for America and mother seriously.
