Beulah Naomi Spencer Kinney
12/21/1916 - 07/09/2021

Beulah Naomi (Spencer) Kinney, faithful servant of God, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 9, 2021. She was born on Dec. 21, 1916 in Goodwin, OK near the Texas border. Her family moved to OR by train when she was 1½ years of age and, as a child, lived in various towns in OR, and finally in Oakland (where she graduated high school). She moved to Myrtle Creek in 1935 for employment, and met and married Kenneth Milroy Kinney on Dec. 25, 1935. They owned and operated Kinney Variety Store for forty years there. They were active first in the Methodist Church, and then eventually in the Myrtle Creek Church of the Nazarene where they remained until their move to Eugene in 1987 to be nearer daughters and family. After Kenneth's death in 1994, she continued to stay active doing things she loved – involvement at Fairfield Church of the Nazarene teaching Sunday School until age 93, tending her beautiful flowers, knitting, but mostly surrounding herself with family and friends that she loved so dearly. She wrote and published a book at the age of 95 entitled "The Challenge," explaining why she believed the Bible to be true.

Beulah is survived by her three children: Jeanette Kinney of Eugene, Jerry (Judy) Kinney of Nampa, ID, and Donna (Jim) Overall of Eugene; three surviving grandchildren and seven great grandchildren (one grandson and one great grandson preceded her in death).

A Celebration of Life will be held at City First Church of the Nazarene Fairfield, 1052 Fairfield Ave., Eugene at 1:00 p.m. on July 30. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Gideons Internatonal, American Bible Society, or the Eugene Mission.
