John William McGrath, 95, died Sunday, May 31, 1998 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born August 31, 1902 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late George and Mary Maddox McGrath. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church. Survivors include: one son, Benjamin Jackson (Jasper) McGrath, Harrodsburg; one step son, Stanley Green, Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services were Wednesday, June 3, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bro. John Watts and Edwin Freeman officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery. Grandchildren and great grandchildren served as pallbearers.
