Katherine Bissett Comer Hyams, died Tuesday April 14, 1998 in Simi Valley. She was the widow of Paul Angier Comer and Ben Hyams. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Lee Bissett of Harrodsburg. She attended Braxton School, Nazareth Academy, McAfee High School and graduated from Harrodsburg High School. She received a Master's Degree in Sociology in 1946 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master's of Psychology from the University of Hawaii. She was a member of the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church. Survivors include: one son, Christopher Lee Comer, Simi Valley, CA; two daughters, Beth Hyams and Juliett H. Ambrose, Portland, OR; three sisters, Martha Bisset-Clay, Danville, Margaret Bisset Shewmaker, Harrodsburg, Eugenia Bisset Carpenter, London; three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Lee Bisset. Interment was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
