Eula Lee Rue Ison, 78, died Saturday, April 25, 1998 at her residence. Born January 7, 1920 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Insco Williams and Charlotte DeVeau Ewing Forbes Rue. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include: her husband, James Hubert Ison, Harrodsburg; three daughters, Cathy Knight, Raleigh, NC, Jean Connatser, Knoxville, TN and Sallie Dawn Phelps, Valencia, CA; three sons, Larry James and Michael Hugh Ison, Harrodsburg and David Nelson Ison, Knoxville, TN; two sisters, Lois Reed, Harrodsburg and Aileen Doehler, Littleton, CO; four brothers, Frank Rue, Ellis Island, FL, Edwin "Skip" Rue, Lexington, Leslie Rue, Harrodsburg, and Clarence Rue, Amarillo, TX; 28 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Four sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services were Monday, April 27, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Danville with President Doyle Holdaway officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
