Dudley "Gene" Bolton, Jr., 62, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at his home in Louisville. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 2, 1958 to parents, Dudley Eugene Bolton & Wilma Jean Perkins.

He attended and graduated from the Fairdale High School and went on to receive an Associate's Degree from Scottsdale Community College. He married Tammy (Huelsman) Bolton on November 21, 1992. Gene served his nation with honor and pride in the United States Navy entering in 1976. He served aboard the U.S.S. Woodrow Wilson where he was a Sonar Technician. He attended the Enlisted Basic Submarine Course, Sonar Tech Class, and Operator Course among others. Gene earned the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal and the Battle Efficiency Ribbon before ending his tour of service in 1982. After his military service, Gene had a career in Transportation, as a Safety Director for Summit Trucking as well as swimming pool maintenance and repair for AZ Pool Care.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Dudley Eugene Bolton, Sr. & Wilma Jean Pratt; and two nephews, Brian Renfro and Phillip Staun III.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Lauren Bolton; life – partner, Tammy (Huelsman) Bolton; two sisters, Karen (P.J.) Staun and Lisa (Anthony) Piazza; 4 – nieces and 10 – nephews, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation was chosen. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
