Deceased Name: Therese Ann Schmidt
Therese Ann Schmidt, 74, of Tallahassee died Thursday.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church, with burial at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home Riggins Road Chapel (877-8191). A rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308 or Elder Care Services, 2518 W. Tennessee St., Tallahassee, FL 32304.
A native of Detroit, she was a longtime resident of Tallahassee. She was an administrative assistant for the Florida Department of Agriculture when she retired. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert J. "Bob" Schmidt of Tallahassee; seven sons, Dennis J. Schmidt of Fort Pierce, Pat Schmidt of Bridgeport, Texas, Larry Schmidt, Mike Schmidt and Jimmy Schmidt of Tallahassee, Doug T. Schmidt of Waller, Texas, and Chuck Schmidt of Newberry, Texas; seven daughters, Penny Scruggs, Chris Kimmons, Martha Crow, Mary K. Parker and Ann Marie Ivester of Tallahassee, Dorothy Gochnauer of Loxahatchee and Suzanne Schmidt of West Palm Beach; two sisters, Helen M. Sprenger of Tallahassee and Loretta McDonnell of Waterford, Mich.; 28 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
