She was born in Auburn the daughter of Walter and Nina (Pike) Libby and had been a resident of this community all of her life. She was educated in Auburn schools and was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1923.
She married Charles A. Starkey on Feb. 28, 1933. He died on Sept. 11, 1996. She was a homemaker and also employed in the local shoe industry for many years, until her retirement in 1980.
She enjoyed dancing in her younger years and was also an artist, drawing many pictures with pen and ink.
She is survived by one son, Walter Starkey of Auburn and his companion, Claudia Morin, of New Gloucester; one daughter, Brenda Cadman and her husband, George, of New Port Richey, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Beatrice Gagnon of Lewiston and Marjorie Ward of Auburn.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Lamp Alzheimer's Residential Care Facility for the excellent care they provided to Myrna during the past year.
