Lowell C. Cornwell Munster Lowell C. "Dutch" Cornwell, age 97, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2007 at his residence in Munster, In where he resided for the past 53 years. He was born on a farm in Benton County, IN, June 18, 1909, the youngest of four children of Samuel H. and Dora Crabb Cornwell. Dutch is survived by two sons: Thomas (Carol) of Dune Acres, IN and David (Mary) of Fort Wayne, IN; four grandchildren: Michelle Cornwell of Flagstaff, AZ, Alex Cornwell of Dune Acres, IN, Joanna Cornwell of Indianapolis, IN and Katie Cornwell of Fort Wayne, IN; niece, Donna Spray of Knoxville, TN. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, of 62 years; and grandson, Nathan Maleady. Dutch was the founder of the City Photo Service, Inc. in Hammond, IN. He was active in his community, was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hammond, the Munster Lions Club, McKinley Lodge #712 F. & A.M., Schererville, IN and the Orak Shrine Temple, Michigan City, IN. A Service of Remembrance will be conducted by McCoy Funeral Chapel, Hammond, IN (219) 931-1057 from the First United Methodist Church, 6635 Hohman Ave., Hammond, IN on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Byron Kaiser officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to share remembrances with the family at the church before and after the service. An expression of sympathy may be given to the First United Methodist Church Foundation or to the Leader Dogs for the Blind, 1039 S. Rochester Road, Rochester, MI 48307.
