Charles M. Winchell,82, topeka who died Monday in Topeka's St. Francis Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Davidson-Duff Funeral Home, Topeka. Mr. Winchell was born June 4, 1899, Lawrence, he worked as a milkman in Lawrence, and lived in Baldwin before he moved to Topeka, where he worked as a painter, 28 years ago. He retired from painting in 1978.
Survivors include two sons James and Walter, both of Topeka, seven daughters Mona Farmer and Marilyn Noble, both of Oskaloosa, Thelma Eldridge, Trimble, MO.; Rose Bagby, Havensville, Ruth Hunter and Helen Thompson, both of Topekaand Carol Hale, Baldwin; three stepchildren Larry Stadley, Topeka, Joe Stadley, Naples, Florida, and Nancy Chilcoat, Pensacola, Florida; a sister Wilma Beers 2200 Harper St. D-8, Lawrence, 38 grandchildren & 34 great grandchildren.
