Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Mack Boyte, age 52, of Bastrop, formerly of Atmore, Alabama will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with the Rev. Ralf Endsley and Rev. Simeon Strickland officiating.
Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bastrop under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Johnny was born January 17, 1955 in Oak Grove and he died Wednesday August 22, 2007 at his home in Bastrop. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a member of the First Apostolic Church of Monroe and a journeyman electrician for Zachary Construction. Johnny loved the Lord and his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed attending church and coaching Little League Baseball.
Johnny is preceded in death by his father, Dillard Hardin Boyte and a brother, Marcus Wayne Easom.

Johnny Boyte is survived by two daughters, Heather Douglas and husband, Matthew Douglas and Samantha Jo Boyte; three grandchildren, Maddison Page Douglas, Harley Jo Douglas, and Mallery Douglas, his mother, Laveda Bernice Hackworth and step-father, C.W. Hackworth; seven brothers, William Boyte and wife Marlene, Dean Boyte and wife Mary, Steve Boyte and wife Sylvia, Allen Boyte and wife Polly, William C. Easom and wife Paula, Bobby Easom, and James Easom; three sisters, Joyce Boyte, Sharon Brown and husband James, Vicky Ratcliff and husband Tommy, twenty-seven nieces and nephews and thirty-four great nieces and nephews.
