Deanna Marie Jefferson, devoted daughter of Marquerite Lee Jefferson and Elijah Jefferson, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2014. Deanna a native of New Orleans, La and a 25 year resident of Lancaster, Ca. A proud graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and Loyola University-New Orleans. Loving sister of two brothers and her devoted baby sister. Deanna also leaves to mourn her passing: 4 nephews, 5 nieces, 2 great-nephews, 1 great-niece, a great aunt, a great uncle and a special cousin , a special friend, a special daughter, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Deanna was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Marquerite B. Lee, great-grandparents Alfred and Marquerite Batiste; great uncles, Clarence and James Batiste; aunt Terri R. Lee and cousins LaVon B. Harry and Don Meyers. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church are all invited to mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church 1923 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, La 70116.
