Wade Hampton Richards, Son of William and Della Hart Richards, was born at Turley, Missouri on December 17, 1889. He died at the Texas County Memorial Hospital on March 28, 1962, making his age 72 years, 3 months and 11 days.

He was married to Nora Ethel Guynn on December 2, 1914. To this union eight children were born. His wife and two sons preceded him in death.

His entire life was spent in the Turley and Roby communities. In July 1957, he was converted and joined the Pleasant Hill Christian church in Roby, Missouri.

Survivors are six daughters, Wanda Hall and Faye James of Roby, Louise Richards of Houston, Hazel Hill of Wichita Kansas, Audrey Stenger of Plato, and Margie McCoy of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Earl Richards of Success and Newt Richards of Plato; one sister, Velma Wilhite of St. Louis; 24 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 31 1962 at Liberty Church, officiated by Don Brower, pastor of the Christian church at Houston, and the Reverend Ewell Groves, pastor of the Baptist church at Plato. Burial was in the Liberty cemetery at Turley, under direction of the Elliott-Duff Funeral Home.

Notes: Family name was Richards, but Wade often used the spelling Richard. 1900 Census lists birth year as 1888.
