He was born March 29, 1965 in Hildebran to Murl and Betty Jo Smart. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Ray Smart.
Troy had constant passion, humor, and a child-like awe for life. He was a faithful Deacon at College Avenue Baptist Church and loved the Lord with every ounce of his soul. He was passionate about teaching youth about Christ, going on mission trips, and music ministry.
Troy was a jack of all trades and a master of all of them. He was an avid outdoorsman, conservationist, hunter, fisherman, singer, trombonist, ASL interpreter, comedian, H.A.M radio operator, truck driver, expert plumber, and genealogist.
Troy's family was truly his pride and joy. Left to cherish his memory, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, and dear friends, is his loving wife of 35 years, and four children; two sons and their wives, another son, his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren.
Troy loved being called "PawPaw" by his three dear grandsons.
He was devoted to his faith, his wife, and his family.
Troy also leaves two brothers, two sisters-in-law, and two sisters, and two brothers-in-law.
