Sunrise August 21, 1937 Sunset April 24, 2021 Andrew (Goldberg) Janeau passed away peacefully surrounded by his children, at the age of 83. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington high school in New Orleans. He attended Straight Business College where he received his master's degree in business. He was a US Navy veteran where he mastered his culinary skills. Andrew was a member of the Autocrat, City Park and Pontchartrain Golf Association. He owned Andrew's Kitchen and was a master chef for several hotels and restaurants in the city of New Orleans. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Fannie Janeau, his wife Rebecca Clark-Janeau, brothers Prosper, Preston and Lucien Janeau. Sisters Fannie Eugene and Joann Lewis, one grandson Freddie Janeau and one great grandson Jermon Washington. Survived by his sister Emily Raymond, brother Morris Janeau, and his 13 children, Andrew (Rita) Janeau, Alphonse (Cynthia) Janeau, Cynthia (Jorge) Evans, Victoria Janeau, Kevin (Yolanda) Janeau, Gregory Janeau, Kenneth (Gloria) Janeau, Tonya (Ronnie) Phillips, Charlene (Joseph) Idahosa, Sarah (Troy) Glenn, Tiffany Anderson, Eric Janeau and Charles Janeau, 73 grandchildren, 87 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He is the brother-in-law of Barbara Janeau, Alma Sheppard, Pearl Williams, Charlene Young and Victoria Bell-Noa. Special acknowledgement to Ernest Brown, his caregiver and buddy. Dad, you will truly be missed by everyone.
