Willia May Garrison, 64, of 902 Centennial, was dead on arrival at 11:40 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 8, 1994, at Mt. Carmel Medical Center's emergency room. She had been in ill health for 1 1/2 years.
She was born Sept. 19, 1929 in Kirtland, N.M., to Joseph A. and Mary E. Bloomfield Gifford. She lived in Pittsburg since 1960, moving from Blue Water, N.M. She attended the University of New Mexico for two years.
She married Leon M. Garrison, May 5, 1955, in Dodge City, He preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1992.
Membership was in the Flatlanders CB Club and REACT, both of Pittsburg.
Survivors include one son, Joseph A. Garrison of 214 N. Fairview; two daughters, Pamela M. Garrison, and Dorothy A. Garrison, both of Mindenmines, Mo.; one step-son, Robert L. Garrison of Willard, Mo.; one brother, Joseph A Gifford of Blue Water, N.M.; two sisters, Virgie O. Rowley of Blue Water, N.M., and Beth Martin of Mesquite, Nev.; one half-sister, Ellen Persinger of Canyon City, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Frontenac, with the Rev. Daryl Gaddy officiating. Friends are requested to meet at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today, at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today, at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Joseph A. Garrison in Pittsburg.
