Bertha Ann (Stenhouse) Cowan August 31, 1944 – April 06, 2021
Bertha Ann Cowan, 76, of Midland, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on April 6, 2021. She was born August 31, 1944 in Midland, Arkansas to Fred and Mary Ellen (Butler) Stenhouse.

She married her love of 53 years, James E. Cowan on November 2, 1964, who preceded her in death in 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Ellen Stenhouse, brothers, Eugene, Glen, Bob and David Stenhouse and sisters, Jeannie Mae Stane and Betty Marie Smith.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Harger of Covina, CA; two daughters, Angela Klentz and husband, Donald of the home and Angel Cowan of Fort Smith; three granddaughters, Rachel Walker and husband, Trevis of Hartford, Amanda Howell of Roland and Emily Bumpus and husband, Conor of Hackett; eight great grandchildren, Tyler, Tara, Catelyn, Bailey, Matthew, Eli, Madelyn and Jaxon; nieces, Calista and Cayla Haywood; a beloved great nephew, Brayden McClain and great niece, Tiffany Haywood and a host of family and friends.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 9 at Mount Olive Cemetery in Midland under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Thursday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Anderson, Don Klentz, Trevis Walker, Conor Bumpus, Eric Lanman, Brayden McClain and Tyler Walker.
