Dr. Elmer B. Kipp, V.M.D., 86, of Allentown, died Monday in his residence. He was the husband of Ruth Anna (Shallcross) Kipp. They observed their 57th wedding anniversary in March. He owned and operated Dr. Kipps Veterinarian Hospital, 4201 Tilghman St., Allentown, for 40 years retiring in 1987. He received his bachelor of science degree from Penn State University and his doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinarian Medicine in 1946. He was a 1936 graduate of Allentown High School.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Martin L. Sr. and Wilhelmina (Mallatratt) Kipp. He was a 32 degree Mason of Greenleaf Lodge 561, Allentown. He was a member of Rajah Temple Shrine, Reading. He sang bass for the Lehigh Valley Harmonizers. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Maskenozha Rod and Gun Club, Bushkill and Oak Ridge Hunting Club.
Survivors: Wife; sister, Wilhelmina Gozzard of Salisbury Twp.; nieces, nephews.
