W. D. "Bill" Pryor, age 90, passed away on October 20, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Doris Mae (Langley) Pryor of New Bern. He is survived by two children, Davie D. Pryor and Mirgy (Kenneth M.) Holton of New Bern; and one grandchild, Lauran Holton of Tustin, California. He also leaves behind one nephew, Tike D. (Sandra) Adams, Sr., of New Bern. He was a dearly loved father, grandfather, and uncle. The hardest-working man we have ever known. He will also be greatly missed by his faithful stray cat of 11 years, Morris.
Bill was a veteran of the Korean War. He served the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952 aboard the U.S.S. Everglades, the U.S.S. Shenandoah, and U.S.S. Krishna. A highly skilled tool and die maker, he retired as an Industrial Engineer from Bosch Power Tools in 1991.
A private family memorial with military honors was held at the Greenleaf Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel on October 22nd. Arrangements by Cotten Funeral Home.
