D. Jeanne Thorn McMullen, 61, a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother of Leesburg, Fla., formerly of Parkersburg, died Dec. 18, 2006, at Leesburg Regional Medical Center.
Jeannie was born in Wood County, a daughter of the late Cameron Lee Thorn and Mary Katherine Compton Thorn. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Leesburg and a former member of Baptist Temple in Parkersburg.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ralph D. McMullen of Leesburg; one son, Ronald Bailey and his wife, Rebecca, of Leesburg; one daughter, Lisa Eaton and her husband, Eugene, of Elizabeth; two stepsons, Ralph Dale McMullen and his wife, Rita, and David McMullen, all of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Nioka Eaton, Justin Tebay, Andrew Eaton and Kortnie Bailey; eight stepgrandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Sims of Vincent, Ohio, and Sheila Maley of New England Ridge. Also surviving is her faithful friend and companion, "Precious."
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Chad Mugrage officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
