She was born in New Castle on July 23, 1967 to Duane and Toby (Halstead) Gordon and was a life long resident of Wayne County. She was a member of Whitewater Valley Marine Corps League.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Byrd; her mother, Toby Gordon; 2 sons, Garrett (Brooke) Byrd and Wyatt Byrd; 2 siblings, Barry (Kelly) Gordon and Tracy (Steve) Richardson; a brother-in law, Ron Byrd; her mother-in law Pat Byrd and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of Wendy’s life at American Legion Post 333, 615 W. Main St., Hagerstown, from 3 to 7 PM on Saturday, March 27. Private interment will be in West Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
