Sara Elizabeth Sargent, age 86, passed away Thursday, July 9, 1998. Mrs. Sargent was born October 28, 1911 in Polk County. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry V. Moore; her second husband, Ira W. Sargent; a son James H. Moore; a grandson, Alan J. Moore; and her parents, John Yancey and Shirley Brooks Yancey. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Moore and Yancey Moore both of Cedartown; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 11, 1998 from the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers included Britt Madden, Britt Madden, Jr., Lance Moore, Greg Orebaugh, Nelson Hopper, John Reagan, and Michael Griffith. Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
