Cynthia J. Hardin, 58, of Cudjoe Key, FL, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 11, 2021. She was born September 3, 1962, in Louisville, KY to Claudia J. and the late Edward D. Hardin. She graduated from Florida International University with a BSN degree. She worked many years as an RN, but found her most satisfying role as a Women's Abuse Advocate, where she formed lifelong relationships. She loved sunsets and living in the Florida Keys, a place she regarded as her forever home. Her final gift of love and compassion was as an organ donor. Her greatest joy was being a mother.
Among those that preceded her in death are her father and grandparents.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving son, Julien T. Helms, mother, Claudia Jansen Hartley (Olin), brother, Mark E. Hardin (Mary) and a beloved niece, Sara Hardin, along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins as well many friends.
A private gathering to celebrate her life will take place in June with immediate family in Cudjoe Key.
Expressions of sympathy may be made by signing an Organ Donor card, the gift of life.
