Scott Allen Cleveland, 54, of New Hampton, Iowa passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center-New Hampton, Iowa.

A memorial service for Scott Cleveland will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018 at The Bridge Church in Charles City, Iowa with Pastor Robert Williams officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be one hour before the service at the church on Monday.

Scott Allen Cleveland, the son of Leon "LeRoy" and Patricia (Morgan) Cleveland, was born September 29, 1963 in Charles City, Iowa.

He was educated in Nashua, graduating from Nashua High School in 1982.

Scott then attended Wichita Automotive and Electronics Institute in Wichita, Kansas receiving his Associate's Degree as an automotive mechanic.

Scott worked in the Wichita area, including Andover, as an automotive mechanic working on cars like the Jaguar, Audi and Porsche just to name a few, and he was lead Jaguar Technician at Scholfield Auto Plaza in Wichita.

He lost his leg in a motorcycle accident in 1995 and several years later returned to Iowa.

Scott was a loving and kind person who helped anyone who might need it, and he never met a stranger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and boating. Almost always found with a smile on his face, he was quite the jokester. Scott loved spending time with his family, but had a special connection with all of his nieces and nephews.

Living family members include his girlfriend of eight and a half years, Erin Miller of New Hampton; mother, Pat Cleveland of Charles City; siblings: June Cleveland-Newcomb of Colorado Springs, Colorado, David Cleveland of Bassett and Kerry (Scott) Murray of Nashua; along with numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon "LeRoy" Cleveland.
