Don Pedro de Alcantara de Borbón y Borbón, Duque de Durcal, Grandee of Spain (full given name: Pedro de Alcantara Maria de Guadelupe Teresa Isabel Francisco de Asis Gabriel Sebastian Cristino), was the son of Sebastián Gabriel de Borbón, Infant of Spain and Portugal, and his second wife, María Cristina de Borbón. His paternal grandparents were Don Pedro Carlos de Borbón and his wife María Teresa de Braganza, Princess of Beira. Maternally, Don Pedro de Alcántara was the grandson of The Infante Don Francisco de Paula de Borbón and his wife, Princess Luisa Carlota of the Two Sicilies. He received the title Duque de Dúrcal on January 23, 1885 from his cousin, King Alfonso XII. Don Pedro de Alcántara was married on April 6, 1885, to María de la Caridad Madan y Uriondo, daughter of Juan Antonio Madan y Uriondo, General of the Royal Armies, Royal Infantry Corps, and Commander of the Royal and Distinguished Order of Charles III. They resided mainly in Paris.
