Wilson – Services for Debra “Debbie Ann (Hacker) Gastineau, 64, of Wilson are scheduled for 10:00 am Monday at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Jackie Hartman officiating and Les Hacker assisting. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery of Wilson.

Debbie was born in Wilson to the late Mr. J.L. Hacker and Mrs. Evelyn Virginia (Cantwell) Hacker. She began her stroll over Heaven on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021 at a healthcare facility in Oklahoma City.

Debbie was raised in Wilson where she graduated high school in 1974. She spent most of her life in and around Wilson, mostly caring for the elderly. She was a dedicated care giver to many of the elderly at several nursing home facilities, most recently working as the activity director of the Wilson Nursing Home. If you knew her at all, you know that she would find little ways of spoiling and showing extra love and care to many of the residents where she was working. She would always keep a list of things the residents needed and would go out of her way to make sure they received them; many times pulling in her brother Leslie, other family members and friends to make sure they all had what they needed. There was no doubt that working with the elderly was her life’s calling. Debbie was also a devoted mother to all of her children, caring and providing for them. She had the amazing gift of making something out of nothing with her incredible thriftiness and crafting talents. She always had a home cooked meal for her family and was an amazing cook, red beans and fried taters being a favorite of all the kids. No matter the circumstances surrounding them, she always found a way to provide for her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.L. and Virginia Hacker and two brothers, Randy and Terry Hacker.

Survivors include her children, Natasha Dodson and boyfriend Tyrece Marshall of Ardmore; sons, Shane Dodson and wife Sheryl of Moss Bluff, LA, Nolen Henry and wife Stephanie of Tishomingo and Keaton Henry of Wilson; sister, Cindy Reed and husband Steve of Lone Grove; brother, Leslie Don Hacker and girlfriend Racheal Gray of Wilson; sisters in law, Shelly Hacker of Wilson and Cindy Hacker of Blanchard; grandchildren, Alyssa, Jared, Joshua, Blane, Barry, Kaelynn and Kadence; great grandson, Weston; numerous other family and friends.

Casket bearers will be Nathaniel Hacker, Kyle Hacker, Scott Hacker, Coy Hacker, Colin Hacker, Dusty Hacker, Chase Reed, Joel McSwain and Bobby Schultz.

Honorary bearers are Ricky Eubanks, Gary Whitener, Chris Arnold, Sherry Gray, Jamie Hacker and Brent Arnold.

Family visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm.
