Bruce Darrell Overmyer, Jr., 80, of Kinross, died Tuesday, July 14, 2014, at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey. He served in the U.S. Army during the later part of the Korean War, and then several tours of duty in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam, earning many Purple Hearts, as well as the Bronze and Silver star for bravery in action. Bruce had a daughter, Suzanne Overmyer, with his first wife, Eva, and later lived near his stepson, Ahmet, from his second wife, Hikkmett. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman who hunted and logged trees.
