Rev. David Lee England, age 89 of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away at 2:15 am on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center from complications of Covid 19.
David Lee was born December 12, 1931 in Cannon County, Tennessee,  to the late William Howard and Minnie Dell Luna England. 
He was saved at the age of 14, began preaching at the age of 16 and started his career as a pastor at 18, the same year he married his wife. 
He served countless Baptist churches in White County and Middle Tennessee for over 66 years. He reached many people in White County from his 62 years with his radio ministry, Sunday Morning Devotion. He conducted over 1,000 funerals and hundreds of weddings. In addition to his ministry, he was retired from the White County Board of Education, Bus Garage, where he served as a driver, trainer and mechanic.In addition to his parents, David Lee is also preceded in death by a grandson David Curtis England and brother James Isaac England.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years Bessie Mae Holloway England of White County that he married on May 19, 1950; Three sons: Lester (Ramona) England, Manuel (Annette) England all of White County, Michael (Donette) England of Stuart, Florida; 6 grandchildren: Matthew (Emily) England, Marcus (Rachel) England, William (Lauren) England, Drema (Zeb) Allison, Meghan England and fiancé Devin, Lauren England and fiancé Luke, Logan England; 6 great grandchildren: Katie, Mason, Creed, Braelyn, Lochland and Remington; Brother: Rev. Joe Richard England. Services will be conducted  Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Sparta First Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery in the Cassville Community.  Kenneth Kirby and Rudy Oakes will officiate.
