PEORIA -- Services for Jason Laurence Hallar, 14, of 5830 N. Andover Court, who was pronounced dead at 2:40 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 1994, at 5822 N. Andover Court, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Cumerford-Endsley Memorial Home. The Rev. Frank Winfrey will officiate.

He died of a gunshot wound suffered in an apparent shooting accident. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the memorial home. Burial will be in Mount Hawley Cemetery in rural Dunlap.

He was born June 1, 1980, in Peoria to Laurence and Janice Harris Hallar Jr. Surviving are his father and stepmother, Laurence and Julie Anne Hallar Jr. of Peoria; his stepfather and mother, Larry and Janice Little of Peoria; his grandparents, Laurence and Judy Hallar Sr. of Marquette Heights, and Walter and Darlene Harris of Peoria; his great-grandparents, George and Murlea Hallar of Bartonville and Bessie Carlton of East Peoria; his stepgrandparents, John and Mary Truitt of Peoria, and Berkley and Carol Little of Morton; his step-great-great-grandmother, Edith Gifford of Benton; one half brother, Christopher D. Little of Peoria; and one step-sister, Heather A. Little of Peoria Heights.

He was a freshman at Richwoods High School.

He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary.

He was a member of Lifegate Ministries-Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the sports program at St. Bernard's Catholic Church or the Slovic Gospel Association.
