Floy Lee Bouchez, 86, of Peoria passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at her home.
She was born December 2, 1934, in Brookport, IL to William and Nina Hazel Risinger. She later married Carroll McGowen and they had seven children.
Surviving are her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Harold Kerley; sisters, Hazel Kohlbuss, Shirley Russell, Marianna Belcher, Mary Lou Castleman, and Helen Copeland; grandson, Jared Mann McGowan; and an infant great-grandson.
Lee was raised on the family farm in Pope County and spent her younger years there. She worked for Apostolic Christian Skylines in Peoria for many years, retiring in 2006. She loved to read and worked crossword puzzles. She liked listening to music of all kinds and dancing, and even enjoyed watching sports.
A graveside service will be at Mount Zion Cemetery in rural Pope County. Local services will be private.
