Ephraim A. Shriver, 79, of Waynesburg R.D. 5, died at 9:50 a.m. Friday, September 11, 1987, in the home of his nephew, Donald E. Whyte of West Finley R.D. 2.

He was born August 21, 1908, in Center Township (Hargus Creek), a son of Ira Attie and Rozella Hartley Shriver.

He lived his entire life in Center Township. He was a member of the Rogersville Christian Church, and was a former superintendent at the church. He also was a member of the James Farrell American Legion Post No. 330, Waynesburg.

He was a self-employed farmer all his life. He retired in 1973.

He was a veteran of World War II and served as a technical five in the U.S. Army with the Headquarters and Service Company, 879th Engineer and Aviation Battalion.

He is survived by two sons, four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, a brother, a niece and three nephews.

Deceased are a brother, Francis M. Shriver; his twin sister, Florence Shriver; and an infant sister.
