William Hugh Shippen, 71, of Old Point Road, Southampton, died on Thursday September 9 at the Southampton Hospital.
He is survived by his wife Alberta; his daughter Mrs A Inez Hatton of Detroit, Michigan; and four sisters, Ruth Austin of Bangor, Michigan, Beulah Shippen and Mabel Hatcher, both of Silver Springs, Maryland, and Clara Johnson of Glendale, Arizona.
Funeral services were held at the Brockett Funeral HOme, Southampton on Sunday, September 12 at 1:30 pm with the Reverend Matthew H Thies, pastor of the Shinnecock Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Interment was in the Shinnecock Cemetery, Southampton.
