Matthew (Matt) L. Bishop, 42, of Panama City, FL, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. The youngest of four children, Matt was welcomed into this world by his loving family on April 27, 1978. He was a very selfless and generous soul, frequently offering his services and incredible mechanical knowledge to anyone in need. When he was not studying his Bible, he loved to spend time boating and camping, and particularly enjoyed a special place of solace on the Choctawhatchee River. He was dearly beloved by his family and friends, and his untimely death will leave a void that will only be filled when they meet him again in glory.

Matt will be remembered for his kindness, quiet demeanor, and reserved spirit by those

he left behind.

He is survived by his daughter, Sophie Larkin and grandson Easton of Chicago, IL; parents, John and Marietta Bishop of Evergreen, AL; brothers,  David (Linda) of St. Petersburg, FL, Casey (Julie) of Plainfield, IL, and Adam (Sydney) of Panama City Beach, FL.  He will also be fondly remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Southerland Event Center, 1112 Ohio Ave., Lynn Haven, FL with Rev. John Maze officiating.  The family will receive friends at 12:00 noon prior to the service.  Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Roberts Cemetery in Wewahitchka, FL.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers:  Casey Bishop, Adam Bishop, Aaron Bishop, Jeffery Foster, Ronnie Brake, and Trey Crutchfield.
