She was born July 7, 1933, in Bellwood, Illinois, the daughter of William and Myrtle Marie (Jacobs) Schwerin. She married Clifford Leroy Demrow on September 20, 1952, in Lagrange Illinois. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters LeahS. (James) Von Kannon and Amber Ojeda both of Galesburg, four grandchildren, Alyson, Alyssa, and Alexis Von Kannon and Conner Shane Ojeda, all of Galesburg; and a great grandson, Adrian James Von Kannon of Galesburg. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death. By a daughter Allison Demrow; her parents; and a brother William Schwerin.
Carol graduated from Proviso East High School in 1951 and associates degree from Triton Community College. She worked as a day care provider for many years. She was of the Episcopal faith. Carol enjoyed crouching and watching TV. She especially enjoyed her great grandson “Little Man”, AJ who always brought a smile to her face.
Special thanks to her granddaughters and special friend Eric, for the care they provided in Carol’s final days.
