Josephine Swearingen Adams, 87, gained her heavenly wings on December 6, 2020 at TMH in Tallahassee, FL. Jo was born April 29, 1933 in Adel, Georgia to Charlie B. Dunn and Bertha F. Stone Dunn.

Mrs. Adams was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Crosspoint Baptist Fellowship. Jo worked at Western Auto for many years and as a secretary for the State of Florida for several years. She enjoyed cooking for others, reading, and arts and crafts.

Jo was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Nolan Swearingen, her son Charles Swearingen, her parents Charlie and Bertha Dunn, and her sister Mary Dunn Browning.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband of 17 years, Collis Adams; her children, Susan Lundberg (Brian), Billy Swearingen (Julie), and Joey Swearingen; 3 grandchildren, Kristen, Aaron, and J.D.; her sister Annie Sirmans; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Pisgah Cemetery with Bro. Wade Goodman officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
