Robert served in the Revolutionary War in the Eight Pennsylvania Regiment, Continental Line. He mustered into military service at Pittsburgh, PA in July 1776. He remained on duty through the summer and fall and mustered out Apr 1779. He was also listed as a Justice of the Peace in Westmoreland County, June 11, 1777, according to the History of the County of Westmoreland, Pennsylvania.

***PLEASE NOTE*** There is no documented proof that Keziah and Robert Adams were the parents of Elijah Adams 1781-1845 or Rev. John Adams 1786-1859. They should not be added as parents unless there is documented proof. After almost 20 years of genealogy research, I have not come across any other children for her and Robert besides Thomas Adams. My brother and I have taken DNA tests . If you would like to compare your DNA results with ours to make a connection, please send me a message. Thanks, Andrea
