She was the eldest daughter of Alice and John Whittemore. She grew up in Rhode Island and moved to the Cape where she attended Falmouth Schools and graduated from Lawrence High School Class of 1968. She married William in 1971 and after raising her family, she worked for Associates of Cape Cod for 15 years before retiring in 2015. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, William; son, William Bento and his wife, Ann and their four children, Hannah, Buddy, Gabrielle, and Benjamin; daughter Kelley Solorzano (Bento) and her husband Viktor, and their three children, Olivia, Viktor, and Eliza; and sisters, Joni Martini and Barbara Beltran.
