Billy Thomas Adair passed away on November 24, 2020 in Tyler, Texas. He was born in Athens, Texas on September 4, 1943 to Preston Craig and Ruby Louann (Asher) Adair.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Hollis and Glen Adair; sister, Betty Lou Curtner.
Billy loved the outdoors, four wheeling, camping, traveling and working in his garden. He enjoyed sports of all kinds. He was known as an outstanding athlete in High School. Later on, he enjoyed coaching his sons little league teams. Billy was a lot of fun to be around. Always playing jokes on people, a true prankster. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his love, Tania Knox; sons, Larry Adair, Tracy Adair and wife Tina, Brad Adair, and Shane Adair; his granddaughter, Kelsey Jean Adair Stanley; sisters, Ann and Frankie Sue; nephew and best friend, Roger Adair, along with numerous other nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Oaklawn Memorial Park, with Terry Don Adair officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
