Faye Savoie Blanchard, beloved wife of 42 years to Randolph “Randy” J. Blanchard III, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020. She was a resident of St. Bernard, LA and was 63 years of age.
Faye was born on April 28, 1957, in Rayne, LA, to the late Ignac and Cecile Savoie. A 1975 graduate of Rayne High School, she married and then planted roots in St. Bernard Parish. Known as long-time Manager of South Lakes Food, she was a dedicated employee of 17 years. She was a loyal New Orleans Saints fan and great cook who loved music and dancing. She is best-remembered for her love of people, huge smile, and joyous laughter. Faye touched the lives of so many people with her big heart. She was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Faye is the loving mother of Randolph “Champ” J. Blanchard IV (Jenny), and grandmother “Nonny Taunty” of Courtney Blanchard and Randolph “Randy” Blanchard V.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, the late Paul and the late Clovis Duplichan and is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering on Monday, November 23, 2020, at St. Bernard Memorial funeral home, in Chalmette, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held in her memory. Faye will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. For the safety of our staff and the families we serve, please be mindful that MASKS ARE REQUIRED for the duration of the visitation and service.
