Ruth married Jimmie Dudley on August 24, 1968, in a wedding dress made by her Aunt Nonnie whom she adored. Ruthie lived most of her life in La Porte, Texas. She and Buddy moved to Groesbeck, Texas in 2015 and then moved to Pearland in 2020.

She graduated from La Porte High School in 1967. Ruth worked as an aide in the La Porte High School Nurse’s office for many years. She loved quilting and blessed many of us with quilts she made. She also loved to sew, and crochet with her granddaughters, Maegan and Rori. She made porcelain dolls just like her Aunt Nonnie. She loved to cook, bake, and garden. Her garden in Groesbeck was most impressive and produced lots of veggies that she canned.

Ruth had a loving heart and always put others before herself. She had a strong faith in the Lord and she was accepting of everyone she met and she taught us what it was to love unconditionally. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She served God by serving others with her whole heart, and we will miss her.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Loyce Loosmore; and sister Judy Loosmore.

Left to treasure her memory are her husband Jimmie Dudley; children Curtis Dudley (Hazel) and Rebecca Wall (David); grandchildren Dayne Dudley, Maegan Reyes, Ryan Wall, Rori Wall, and Jackson Dudley; brother "Bugga", and sisters Virginia, Ilene, and Karen.
