TYBEE ISLAND - Daniel Joseph Sheehan, Jr., 72, an American of Irish decent, died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at his home on Tybee Island. The life long resident of Savannah was a graduate of Portsmouth Priory High School in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and Merrimack College in Andover, Massachusetts. Mr. Sheehan was the owner of Dan J. Sheehan Company and a communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. He was the 2005 Grand Marshall of the St. Patrick's Day Parade, member of the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, Hibernian Society (Past President), Knights of Columbus No. 5588, 200 Club, the Savannah Golf Club and the Chatham Club. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Timothy Sheehan and Hannah T. O'Sullivan Sheehan of Cork, Ireland; parents, Daniel J. Sheehan, Sr. and Kathryn R. Cleary Sheehan; sister, Rosemary McCusker. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sheehan of Tybee Island; six sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel J. Sheehan, III, Timothy and Karen Sheehan, Kevin L. Sheehan, Brendan T. and Leslie Sheehan, Leo K. and Margaret Sheehan all of Savannah; Eamon S. Sheehan of Los Angeles, CA; daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Ann Sheehan Jones, Mary Kathryn Sheehan Farrahar and Michael Farrahar, grandchildren, Amelia Sheehan, Kate Jones, Daniel Ryan Sheehan, Kathryn Farrahar, Matthew Farrahar, Cassidy Farrahar, Mary Kelly Sheehan and Declan Sheehan all of Savannah. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist with a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist with The Reverend Patrick O'Brien, Celebrant. Pallbearers will be, Tom McNamara, Carl "Bubba" Feus, Harold Mulherin, Jr., Frank "Sonny" Seiler, Michael Halligan, Jeff Fitzpatrick, Walter Murphy, III, Walter "Buddy" Murphy, Jr., Dennis "Denny" Herb, General Walter Corish, Roy Loncon, Lawrence "Pete" Conneff, Louis Dibenedetto, Bernard "Butch" Lowenthal, David Whelan, M.J.
